TOTAL BODY SKIN EXAM
The total body skin exam is an integral clinical skill in dermatology, which allows physicians to screen patients for any new, changing, or suspicious lesions that may be the first sign of skin cancer. This procedure involves systematically scanning the entire body, especially areas most often exposed to sun.
DERMOSCOPY
During skin exams dermatologists will often use dermatoscopes to help with lesion visualization and decrease the need for skin biopsies. These resources are an introduction to what dermoscopy is, and provide an overview of common magnified lesion morphologies.
